Park Se-woong, who surpassed KODI Ponce to take sole lead in victories, attributed all the praise to his partner, Yang Kyung-nam.
Park Se-woong started in the 1st game of a doubleheader against the KT Wiz at Suwon KT Wiz Park on Nov. 11, 2025, pitching for 6⅓ innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 walk, striking out 8 batters, and giving up 1 earned run (unearned), with 102 pitches, securing his 8th win of the season (1 loss). He lowered his earned run average from 2.54 to 2.25 with his 6th quality start of the season and has surged to 8 consecutive wins following his 1st loss, placing him at the top of the KBO league in victories.
Park Se-woong displayed his skill by mixing fastballs, sliders, curves, and forkballs with a maximum speed of 149 kph while facing KT batters. His control was stable, as he threw 63 strikes among 102 pitches (39 balls). After giving up his first run due to an error by shortstop Lee Ho-jun in the 1st inning with 1 out and runners on 1st and 2nd base, he recorded consecutive three-up, three-down innings in the 2nd and 3rd innings, and showed his management ability by overcoming scoring threats with 2 outs and runners on 1st and 3rd base in the 4th, and 1 out and a runner on 2nd in the 6th.
In the 7th inning, Park Se-woong caught the leadoff batter, Jang Seong-woo, with a looking strikeout and handed the baton to Jeong Hyun-soo. Park Se-woong left the mound to a standing ovation from the Lotte fans who filled the stands.
After the game, Park Se-woong noted, “I wanted to take responsibility for as many innings as possible today because we had a tough victory in an important game yesterday. Thanks to the support from my teammates, I was able to pitch a bit more comfortably. I'm happy that the team was able to win the first game of this important doubleheader.”
Behind his ascent to the top of the victories leaderboard was also the outstanding leadership of Yang Kyung-nam, the '8 billion catcher.' Park Se-woong expressed, “Personally, today was not my favorite performance, but older brother (Yang) Kyung-nam kept giving me signals. Thanks to that, I was able to stay composed and focused. I want to express my gratitude for that.”
