Michael Ahyi's earnest wish has come true.

Ahyi, who wore the Woori Card uniform as the 5th pick in the 2024 KOVO foreign player draft, could not complete the season due to an ankle injury. Participating in the 2025 KOVO foreign player tryouts, he revealed his desire to return to the V-League, saying, "I participated in the tryouts for the first time last year. It was my first time playing in Korea, and it exceeded my expectations. I hope to have the opportunity to play again."

Ahyi has good memories of the V-League. He recalled, "I knew before going that it was a high-level league. I had heard that the defense and receiving were good, and when I got there, I definitely felt that. Besides, there are many players who excel in offense and blocking, so I found it to be a very challenging league."

Ahyi said, "I want to show the form I displayed when I first started my career in Korea. I remember having a good start, and the team's performance was also decent. However, not long into the season, I had regrets due to an injury."

He added, "Now I want to show that I can play a full season. Since it’s a league I’ve experienced, I want to show more than what I did initially."

They say dreams come true. Ahyi, who expressed a strong desire to return to the V-League, will wear the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance uniform as the 6th pick. The 2nd pick, Korea Electric Power Corporation, partnered with Canadian Sharon Vernon-Evans. Woori Card selected Rafael Araujo from Brazil, while OK Savings Bank picked Dimitar Dimitrov from Bulgaria.

The 1st pick, KB Insurance (Andres Villena), along with the 3rd pick, Korean Air (Kyle RUSSELL), and the 7th pick, Hyundai Capital (Leonardo RAY), opted for contract renewals.

An upset occurred in the women's foreign player draft. The 1st pick, IBK Industrial Bank (Victoria Dance), and the 6th pick, GS Caltex (Giselle Silva), chose contract renewals, while the 4th pick, Korea Expressway Corporation, surprised everyone by selecting Leticia Moma, who played for GS Caltex and Hyundai E&C.

Rebecca Rasem, a 3rd generation Korean American who played for IBK Industrial Bank in the 2021-2022 season, will don the Heungkuk uniform. Pepper Savings Bank has acquired American Joe Weatherington, while Hyundai E&C has teamed up with Kari Geisberger. Jeonggwanjang’s choice was Elisa Janette from Italy.
