The bats of the LG Twins’ "Moon-Moon duo," Moon Bo-kyung (infielder) and Moon Seong-joo (outfielder), have heated up. They showcased fierce hitting to lead the charge in the first game of the doubleheader.

LG won 5-4 against the Samsung Lions in the first game of the doubleheader held on the 10th at Daegu Samsung Lions Park. The performance of left-handed starter Son Joo-young, who laid the groundwork for victory with 3 runs in 6 innings, stood out, and the offense was led by the "Moon-Moon duo."

Moon Bo-kyung, who boasts a career batting average of .321 (35 hits in 109 at-bats) and 6 home runs with 18 RBIs and an OPS of .925 in away games in Daegu, continued his strong performance in this game as well. Batting fourth, he went 3-for-3 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. In particular, needing additional runs in the 5th inning while leading 4-3, he showcased his clutch ability by hitting his 8th home run of the season.

"I’m glad we won the first game of the doubleheader. My current form feels neither good nor bad, just average. It's a bit different from day to day," said Moon Bo-kyung. Noting his strong performance in away games in Daegu, he smiled, saying, "Nothing special, but the results seem to be good, so I feel happy."

Regarding his home run situation, Moon Bo-kyung said, "I was waiting for a fastball and getting my timing right. When the changeup came, I was caught on the fastball timing. It seems I got lucky and it went over." He added, "There are still many games left, so I will prepare well to contribute to the team's victories one game at a time."

Moon Seong-joo had shown signs of struggle with a batting average of .111 over the last 10 games. Manager Yeom Kyung-yeop also expressed his earnest hope for Moon Seong-joo’s recovery in hitting, saying, "He’s working hard, so I believe good results will come."

Moon Seong-joo announced his recovery in hitting by achieving his first 4-hit game of the season. He said, "I’m glad we won the first game. I think I've been lost until now. I just did one game well. I think it’s important to be consistent from now on. I still have a lot to improve, but I’m glad I'm gradually finding my rhythm."

Moon Seong-joo also mentioned, "In the first game against Doosan, I had such a poor condition that I couldn’t swing the bat after striking out against Kim Taek-yeon. Since then, I've been trying to get my timing right, and I felt a bit of rhythm from the last game against Doosan." He continued, "I think my timing is getting better in this context today, and I will prepare well to maintain consistency going forward."
