The NC Dinos officially stated their position regarding Changwon City’s belated announcement on the preparation for the reopening of Changwon NC Park. For now, they will proceed with the game as scheduled at Ulsan Munsoo Stadium.

NC noted on the 10th at 10 a.m., "Regarding the materials announced by Changwon City on the 9th stating that 'the facilities for the reopening of Changwon NC Park Masan Stadium will be completed by May 18,' we would like to inform you of the club's position.

The club announced, "First, we appreciate Changwon City’s announcement of their countermeasures. However, the club plans to proceed with the games at Ulsan Munsoo Stadium starting from May 16 as scheduled."

The club added, "The schedule announced by Changwon City is not confirmed but is a target completion date for the repairs. The club will check the completion status, conduct internal discussions, and decide on future plans accordingly."

Additionally, the NC Dinos expressed concern that if the repair schedule of Changwon City is delayed, it could cause confusion and further disappointment for fans, emphasizing that they consider it important to provide support to Ulsan City for hosting home games temporarily, stating, "The club will carefully determine future plans in consultation with the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and Ulsan City after thoroughly examining the actual repair situation."

Furthermore, they added, "We ask for the understanding and continued support of our fans, and we will work closely with Changwon City and Changwon facilities corporation to ensure the safe operation of Changwon NC Park."

On March 29, a fatal accident occurred at Changwon NC Park when a louver, which is an external finishing material, fell, resulting in the death of one female spectator in her 20s and injuries to two others who required treatment. Following this, preparations for the reopening of Changwon NC Park were made through emergency safety inspections, but inadequate aspects were discovered as a result of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's confirmation. Consequently, the reopening was indefinitely postponed after supplementary items emerged from the emergency safety inspection.

The NC club was the only one left to suffer from behaviors where no one wanted to take responsibility. Eventually, they focused on securing a temporary replacement venue and decided to hold matches at Ulsan Munsoo Stadium.

Afterward, as opposition from the local community intensified and public sentiment plummeted, Changwon City held an emergency press conference on the 9th, announcing that they would complete the preparations for reopening Changwon NC Park by the 18th.

Changwon City stated, "Both Changwon facilities corporation and NC Dinos conducted emergency safety inspections of the stadium from the 1st to the 22nd of last month right after the incident and received a B-grade assessment from a professional organization indicating there are no functional issues," adding that "Changwon City, along with the facilities corporation and NC Dinos, formed a joint task force to completely remove the 309 louvers installed at the stadium and the steel parking lot, including the louvers at the site of the incident."

They further explained, "All measures regarding the additional investigations into the structural members under the spectator seats and the rooftop steel frame, which were requested for supplementation by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, have been completed."

They also stated, "We plan to focus our capabilities on responding quickly for a timely reopening, and we expect all repairs to be completed by next week as we will address the additional improvement items from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's second emergency safety inspection this weekend, so we will initiate immediate discussions on reopening to prevent any further harm to the citizens and NC players."

However, the club took a more cautious approach and stated that since they had already confirmed the schedule for their temporary home stadium, they would return to Changwon NC Park after everything was finalized.
