Daegu FC cried and laughed at Edgar's (38) head. Just when it seemed like they were going to defeat FC Anyang with the so-called 'ttukbaegi,' they let go of a victory they had in their grasp with a heartbreaking own goal.

Daegu FC drew 2-2 with FC Anyang in the 13th round of the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 at Anyang Sports Complex at 7 p.m. on the 10th, failing to determine a winner.

As a result, Daegu rose to 10th place with 11 points (3 wins, 2 draws, 8 losses), escaping the bottom spot. In contrast, Suwon FC fell to 12th place. However, since Daegu, 11th place Jeju, and Suwon FC all have 11 points, it is not surprising if the rankings change at any time. Anyang sits in 7th place with 17 points (5 wins, 2 draws, 7 losses).

The home team Anyang started with a 4-4-2 formation. Mota-Matheus, Choi Hyun-woo, Choi Kyu-hyun, Kim Jeong-hyun, Yago, Thomas, Lee Chang-yong, Kim Young-chan, Lee Tae-hee, and Hwang Byeong-geun were the starting players. Goalkeeper Kim Da-sol, who suffered a cheekbone injury in the previous match against FC Seoul in the 'derby of the hometown,' was excluded from the lineup.

The away team Daegu opted for a 3-5-2 formation. Park Dae-hoon, Edgar, Jang Seong-won, Lee Chan-dong, Han Jong-mu, Yoshino, Hwang Jae-won, Kaio, Kim Hyun-jun, Park Jin-Young, and Han Tae-hee were the initial lineup.

Daegu came out strong from the start. In the 5th minute of the first half, Park Dae-hoon dribbled inside the box and attempted a shot, but it was blocked by the defensive wall. After collecting the loose ball, he broke through on the left and took a shot with his left foot, but this time it hit the crossbar.

Daegu managed to score the opening goal. In the 6th minute of the first half, a cross from the left was deflected by the defense and fell into the box. Kaio rushed in to head the bouncing ball into the net. For Anyang, the decision to award a corner kick for Park Dae-hoon's shot, which did not hit the defense, remained a significant disappointment.

The goalpost blocked Anyang's equalizer. In the 29th minute of the first half, Matheus delivered a long-curving free kick into the box. Lee Chang-yong, who was rushing in, tried to head it but the ball strongly bounced back and hit the crossbar.

Anyang swallowed their disappointment. In the 35th minute of the first half, Matheus had a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper but was tackled by Kaio at the last moment. In the 39th minute of the first half, Mota's header went over the goalpost, and in the 45th minute, Choi Hyun-woo's shot was deflected off the defense, narrowly missing the goal. The first half ended with Daegu leading 1-0.

Anyang managed to bring the game back to level. In the 16th minute of the second half, Yago slipped behind the defensive line and passed the ball sideways. Mota connected it with a non-stop shot, finding the back of the net.

Both teams exchanged attacks. Anyang, leading the game with high possession, found it difficult to break through Daegu's defense. In the 27th minute of the second half, Mota dropped the ball with his chest and attempted a volley but missed slightly beside the goalpost. In the 39th minute of the second half, Park Jin-Young broke through into the box and took a shot, but it was blocked by the goalkeeper's save.

Daegu took the lead again. In the 42nd minute of the second half, Kwon Tae-young sent a high-trajectory cross from the right. Edgar jumped high to head it, and although the ball was somewhat far away, it bounced off the ground and into the goal. It was Edgar's second goal of the season.

The joy was short-lived. Daegu lost the lead in stoppage time of the second half due to Edgar's own goal. On a free-kick opportunity, Kim Bo-kyung curled the ball with his left foot, and while trying to clear it with his head, Edgar accidentally pushed it into his own goal. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
