Two friends of the same age at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are simultaneously connected to Arsenal. The possibility of summer transfers for Lee Kang-in and Gonçalo Ramos has emerged.

'Kurt Offside' from the UK reported on the 8th and 9th that "Arsenal is monitoring both Lee Kang-in and Gonçalo Ramos from PSG, and both players could find new homes in the summer transfer market."

In the case of Lee Kang-in, up until the early part of this season, he was utilized in various positions under the trust of coach Luis Enrique, but his presence has noticeably diminished as the season has progressed. After missing four consecutive matches following the Champions League quarterfinals, he was also unable to play in both legs of the semifinals against Arsenal. Recently, he has completely been pushed into a rotation role outside of league matches.

According to reports citing France's 'L'Équipe', PSG plans to discuss Lee Kang-in's future after the end of the season. Within the club, there are no intentions to sell Lee Kang-in for a low price, but it is said that they are open to the possibility of sale if a suitable offer comes in.

Arsenal is looking to strengthen resources that can provide creativity and flexible positioning. Kurt Offside evaluated that "Lee Kang-in can operate on both wings and could be a definitive option for team attacks in terms of one-on-one breakthroughs, decisiveness, and creativity. He possesses both the physical and technical abilities to adapt to the Premier League."

Gonçalo Ramos, who is the same age as Lee Kang-in, has also been spotted on Arsenal's radar for similar reasons. Last season, in his first year with PSG, Ramos performed commendably, scoring 14 goals including in Ligue 1 and cup competitions, and this season he has recorded 15 goals and 6 assists. However, his average playing time per match is just about 40 minutes, so he is not classified as a core player.

Currently, Ramos is effectively remaining as a rotation member, overshadowed by the new attacking combination of Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Coach Luis Enrique of PSG has not completely ruled Ramos out, but within the club, it is understood that he could be sold if an appropriate transfer fee is presented.

In addition to Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, SSC Napoli, and Juventus have also entered the race for Ramos, but the teams showing the most active interest are identified as Arsenal and Manchester United. Reportedly, both Coach Arteta and Coach Rúben Amorim are considering Ramos as a solution for strengthening the front line.

After leading the Portuguese league championship during his time at SL Benfica, Ramos transferred to PSG in the summer of 2023 and is currently contracted without going through a loan. The transfer fee PSG invested in him reached €65 million (about 102.5 billion won).

Both have not been able to establish themselves on the same team. And both could be resources that become new pieces in Arsenal's puzzle. There is growing interest in whether Lee Kang-in and Ramos will wear the same uniform in London next season, as the focus shifts from PSG to the Premier League during the summer transfer market.
