The professional baseball Samsung Lions will play their first doubleheader of the season. Manager Park Jin-man emphasized that bullpen management is the most important.

Samsung announced Ariel Hurado as the starting pitcher for the first game of the doubleheader against LG, which will be held at Daegu Samsung Lions Park on the 10th. He currently has a record of 2 wins and 3 losses with an earned run average (ERA) of 2.21 this season. The lineup consists of shortstop Lee Jae-hyun, center fielder Kim Sung-yoon, left fielder Koo Ja-wook, catcher Kang Min-ho, first baseman Lewin Diaz, right fielder Lee Sung-kyu, designated hitter Park Byung-ho, second baseman Ryu Ji-hyuk, and third baseman Jeon Byeong-woo.

Manager Park Jin-man noted before the game that "the most important thing in a doubleheader is bullpen management. How you manage the bullpen is crucial." They registered pitcher Hwang Dong-jae and outfielder Kim Tae-hoon through special entry. Hwang Dong-jae, a first-round pick, is an all-round pitcher capable of starting and relieving.

Manager Park Jin-man stated, "I was scheduled to start in today's Futures game, but I was called up urgently," adding, "With Lee Ho-sung going to the closer role, we needed a pitcher who can throw powerful pitches. He will take on the long man role."

With the league's top inning eater Hurado starting on the mound, it looks like the team can minimize pitcher usage. Manager Park Jin-man also expressed confidence, saying, "Hurado's inning-eating is the most important. Just do what you have been doing." The starting pitcher for the second game will be Denny Reyes.

Meanwhile, Samsung finalized a contract with former Rakuten Golden Eagles manager Imae Toshiyaki as a Quality Control (QC) coach. Initially expected to serve as a batting instructor, Coach Imae will join the team approximately 10 to 15 days each month until the end of September, focusing on hitting, defense, and base running for field players.

Coach Imae visited Samsung's second spring camp in Okinawa, Japan, twice in February for special instruction and had agreed to continue discussions after the regular season began. Manager Park Jin-man stated, "He will be responsible for the overall field players. He will provide various advice on offense, defense, and more."
