Jeju SK FC will showcase a sports synergy hole-in-one that breaks down territorial boundaries in the upcoming home match against Ulsan HD.

The SK Telecom Open 2025, a domestic men's professional golf (KPGA) regular tournament, will be held from May 15 (Thursday) to 18 (Sunday) at Jeju Pink's Golf Club. This tournament has been a representative golf event in Korea since 1997 and marks the 8th time it will be held at Pink's Golf Club. A total of 144 players will participate, and they will compete for a prize pool of 1.3 billion won. It is especially expected that the influx of golf fans and tourists during the tournament will significantly boost the local economy.

Jeju SK, part of the SK Group sports team, will also participate. Jeju SK will present a special event that splendidly combines soccer and golf to wish for the successful hosting of the SK Telecom Open 2025 during the home game of the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 Round 13 against Ulsan at Jeju World Cup Stadium on May 11 (Sunday) at 4:30 p.m. Through promotional activities linked to the home game, local residents' interest and anticipation for the SK Telecom Open 2025 will be heightened.

The opening ceremony for the successful hosting of the SK Telecom Open 2025 will feature Korean golf legend Choi Kyung-Ju (54, SK Telecom). Choi is the defending champion and the most successful player in SK Telecom Open history. Notably, Choi achieved a miraculous victory as the oldest winner in the Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Tour when he reached the summit of the SK Telecom Open at Pink's Golf Club last year. The so-called 'island shot,' one of the greatest moments of the KPGA Tour last year, also emerged from that tournament.

On the final day of the tournament, Choi Kyung-Ju's second shot on the 18th hole (par 4) during the first playoff landed miraculously on a small patch of grass in the middle of a stream. Choi successfully put the ball on the green in three strokes from that spot, achieving a par save. Choi expressed a desire to name the small island in the stream surrounding the 18th hole 'KJ CHOI Island,' and after the tournament, SK Telecom and Pink's Golf Club discussed and erected a sign as per Choi’s wish.

The emotion of that day will be recreated in this match against Ulsan. On that day, Choi is expected to draw attention with a remarkable feat, putting the ball in from the stands to the center circle, along with a nearly miraculous tee shot. Additionally, Choi will hold a fan signing event for 50 pre-registered participants from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on game day (refer to the website/SNS). This will be a meaningful time that allows participants to imprint their memories while exploring the new domain of golf, reflecting the coexistence and communication of the SK Group sports teams, as well as the integration and exchange of sports culture.
