Lotte slugger prospect Han Dong-hee, who is playing for Sangmu, hit a grand slam home run.

Han Dong-hee debuted as the fourth baseman in the 2025 Futures League game against Doosan Bears held at Mungyeong Stadium on the 8th.

Sangmu made a bases-loaded opportunity in the first inning when Park Chan-hyuk was hit by a pitch, Ryu Hyun-in hit a right-field double, and Lee Jae-won walked. Han Dong-hee hit a grand slam home run over the right center field wall on a full count against Doosan's starting pitcher Kim Yoo-seong. The distance was 120 meters. It was his 11th home run of the season.

This was his second grand slam of the season. Han Dong-hee hit a grand slam against Lee Jae-ik in a game against Samsung on April 2 with one out and the bases loaded.

After hitting a spectacular grand slam in the first inning, Han Dong-hee stepped up to the plate four more times, but he did not add any more hits.

In the second inning, he was out on a ground ball to shortstop with one out, and in the fourth, he was out on a ground ball to the pitcher as the leadoff hitter. In the sixth, he was out on a fly ball to right field with one out, and in the eighth, he was out on a ground ball to third base with two outs and a runner on second.

Han Dong-hee recorded 1 hit and 1 home run with 4 RBIs in 5 at-bats that day, contributing to impressive season statistics. In 31 games, he has a batting average of .385 (45 hits in 117 at-bats), with 11 home runs, 38 RBIs, 36 runs scored, 24 walks, 12 strikeouts, an on-base percentage of .490, a slugging percentage of .735, and an OPS of 1.225.

He is tied for first in the home run category with KIA's Lee Young-jae. On the 26th of last month, in a game against KT Wiz in the second team, he showcased his power by hitting two home runs with distances of 135 meters and 140 meters.

In addition to home runs, he ranks first in RBIs, first in runs scored, second in hits, third in batting average, second in slugging percentage, fourth in on-base percentage, and third in OPS. Excluding stolen bases, he is in the upper ranks in hitting.

Han Dong-hee, who joined Lotte as the first overall pick in 2018, was expected to be a slugging prospect succeeding Lee Dae-ho (retired). He showed his slugging ability by recording 17 home runs in 2020, 17 home runs in 2021, and 14 home runs in 2022.

He was expected to fill the vacancy left by the retired Lee Dae-ho after the 2022 season, but struggled with a batting average of .223, 5 home runs, and 32 RBIs in 108 games in 2023. He enlisted in Sangmu in May 2024 and will be discharged in December.

He will return to Lotte for the 2026 season. It is expected that Han Dong-hee will add power to Lotte, which is already filled with young hitters like Yoon Dong-hee, Na Seung-yeop, Hwang Seong-bin, Ko Seung-min, and Son Ho-young.
