Yang Min-hyeok (19, Queens Park Rangers) had a special meeting with his juniors from Gangwon FC, who are training at Tottenham.

Gangwon FC has been conducting youth training in London, England, since the 3rd. This training is fully supported by Tottenham. A total of 28 participants are involved, including Kim Byeong-ji, the CEO of Gangwon FC, coaching staff and players from Gangwon FC U-18 (Gangneung Jeil High School), and new players from Gangwon FC.

The training group is following the schedule prepared by Tottenham, alternating between training and theoretical lectures every day. After arriving locally, they watched a Premier League match between Tottenham and West Ham. On the 7th, they observed a practice match between Tottenham's U-18 team and Fulham's U-18 team. Various activities continued, including strength training sessions, tactical exercises, lectures on Tottenham Academy philosophy, and stadium tours.

Lee Jeong-jae, the captain of Gangwon FC U-18 (Gangneung Jeil High School) said, “Coming to England allowed me to see a broader world and encounter players at a higher level than us, which has given me the motivation to dream bigger. At the same time, it made me reflect on my shortcomings and think that I need to work harder to achieve my dreams. I thank the club for providing this wonderful experience and my brother (Yang) Min-hyeok. I will work hard to show a better version of myself when I return to Korea.”

A special time was also arranged. On the 7th, Yang Min-hyeok hosted a dinner for the training group. He shared his experiences faced on the European stage, including training intensity, position competition, recovery routines, and cultural adaptation. The players received specific advice to prepare for the unfamiliar environment.

Yang Min-hyeok said, “I had a wonderful time having dinner with my juniors from Gangwon FC U-18 (Gangneung Jeil High School) after a long time. It was truly meaningful to recall past memories and engage in heartfelt conversations with my juniors. I genuinely support these friends to grow into great players in the future.”

Gangwon FC hopes this experience will serve as valuable nourishment for young players dreaming of becoming the second Yang Min-hyeok.
