Anthony (25, Real Betis) described leaving Manchester United (ManU) as "the best decision of my life," drawing attention.

The Brazil-born player joined ManU last summer after passing through Ajax. He entered ManU following his mentor, Erik ten Hag, the former ManU manager. With ten Hag's absolute trust, he had a hefty transfer value of €100 million (approximately 158.7 billion won).

However, Anthony did not meet expectations at ManU. He scored only 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 96 matches, leading to evaluations of him as a "flop." Ultimately, he had to go on loan last January. Although he received many offers, Anthony chose to join Real Betis of La Liga.

The result has been successful. Anthony has shown the potential for a comeback by scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists in 20 matches at Betis. Real Betis currently stands in 6th place in the league after Anthony's addition.

On 7th (Korea time), according to the British newspaper 'The Sun,' Anthony stated through a Spanish media outlet, "The best decision of my life was coming to Betis," adding, "I am happy now. When I'm happy, everything works out well." He plans to discuss his future with ManU within this month.

Anthony commented on his future, saying, "It's still early. I don't know what will happen, but I am very happy here," and emphasized, "I felt that playing consistently in a pleasant environment is more important than a big transfer."

Additionally, Anthony remarked, "I know my talent well, but even though there were better offers, I chose a place where I could be happy," asserting, "Goals and assists are important, but happiness is more important."

Despite Anthony's performance, there is a high possibility that ManU will sell him. This is because he is not part of coach Ruben Amorim's plans. It is estimated that it would take between £34 million and £43 million (approximately 63.4 billion to 80.1 billion won) to fully transfer him.
