The women's national football team will face Colombia in two friendly matches at home.

This friendly match will be the first A match held at home since coach Shin Sang-woo took charge of the women's team in October last year.

The women's team will invite the Colombia women's national team during the A match period set by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to play a two-match friendly series on May 30 and June 2.

The first match on the 30th will take place at Incheon Namdong Rugby Stadium, and the second match on June 2 will be held at Yongin Mir Stadium. The kickoff time for both matches is 7 p.m. Both matches will be broadcasted on Coupang Play and TV Chosun 2.

The Shin Sang-woo-led women's team has recently played overseas in all four A match periods, recording 3 wins and 5 losses in 8 matches.

Colombia, which will face Korea at home, is ranked 21st in the FIFA women’s rankings, two spots lower than Korea (19th), but it has shown steady growth on the international stage, having reached the quarterfinals of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and passed the South American qualifiers for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Korea faced Colombia in the group stage of the 2023 FIFA World Cup, where Korea lost 0-2. The key player is Linda Caicedo (Real Madrid Femenino), who has experience scoring against Korea in both the group stage of the 2023 FIFA World Cup and the round of 16 of the 2024 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
