The previous record for the fewest games to achieve 3 million spectators was 190 games in the 2012 season. However, by reaching 3 million spectators in just 175 games today, the record was shortened by 15 games. This achievement is also 42 games earlier compared to last year's record of 217 games, which set the highest attendance.

As of May 5 (Monday), the average attendance was 17,497, representing an increase of about 21% compared to the same number of games last year.

By team, Samsung recorded 509,312 spectators in 22 home games, surpassing 500,000 spectators, making it the only team to achieve this and ranking first. Next, LG followed with 429,282 spectators. Doosan had 367,993 spectators, Lotte had 337,001, SSG had 335,866, and KIA had 315,839, with over half of the six teams having surpassed 300,000 spectators.

Samsung also ranked first in average attendance with 23,151 spectators. LG ranked second with 22,594 spectators, while Doosan ranked third with 20,444 spectators, marking three teams with an average attendance exceeding 20,000.

As of May 5 (Monday), 82 games, accounting for about 47% of the 175 games held, were sold out. Samsung recorded sellouts 16 times in 22 home games, LG 15 times in 19 games, and Hanwha 14 times in 17 games, indicating a continuous trend of sellouts.

Meanwhile, Hanwha defeated Samsung 3-1, extending their winning streak to seven games. As the leading LG was defeated 5-2 by Doosan, Hanwha has climbed to a tie for first place for the first time in 18 years.

KIA defeated Kiwoom 13-1, successfully escaping a three-game losing streak.
