The eagle was common. One might say it was rampant. Moreover, Australia's Stephanie Kyriacou finished her play with just her second shot on the final day at the par-5 18th hole. Even after that rare albatross, Kyriacou seemed indifferent. Her final score remained tied for 6th at 16 under par.

In this LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) tour event, Yoo Hae-ran, 24, took the victory. The winning score was an impressive 26 under par. It was a tournament condition where one could not aim for victory without making birdies, as if to vent one's frustrations.

Yoo Hae-ran lifted the winner's trophy at the Black Desert Championship (total prize money $3 million, approximately 4.2 billion won, winner's prize $450,000, approximately 630 million won) held early in the morning of the 5th Korean time at the Black Desert Resort Golf Course in Ivins, Utah (par 72/6,629 yards).

In the newly established Black Desert Championship, Yoo Hae-ran made three eagles over four days. She made eagles at the par-5 9th hole in the second round, the par-4 11th hole in the third round, and the par-5 13th hole in the final round. The eagle at the par-4 11th hole in the third round was particularly spectacular, seemingly foretelling her victory.

In the final round, Yoo Hae-ran displayed a god-like performance. Among the players in contention for the title, she recorded the most under par. While Yoo Hae-ran reduced her score by 8 strokes, her competitors—Germany's Esther Henseleit and China's Yin Ruoning—only reduced theirs by 6 and 5 strokes, respectively. Nevertheless, both rivals were ranked tied for 2nd at 21 under par.

Having pulled ahead by 5 strokes from the second place group, Yoo Hae-ran's victory was nearly flawless.

It wasn't just the final day's game. Yoo Hae-ran's four-day total was 63-67-68-64 (262). The miraculous play on the first day led Yoo Hae-ran to the top, and the extraordinary play on the last day pushed her to victory. In the end, it allowed her to achieve a wire-to-wire victory without losing the lead even once over four days.

With this win, Yoo Hae-ran increased her LPGA tour career victories to '3'. This marks her first win in 8 months since the FM Championship in September of last year.

Additionally, Korean players have combined for 3 victories this season. Kim Ah-rim from Hilton Grand Vacations and Kim Hyo-joo from the Ford Championship are Yoo Hae-ran's fellow victors.
