A tournament with the largest prize money in bowling history is about to take place.

The Korea Professional Bowling Association announced on the 5th that it will hold the finals of the '2025 Incar Financial Service Super Bowling International Open' at the Boltopia Bowling Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, starting on the 8th.

This tournament is an international event that the Korea Professional Bowling Association is hosting to celebrate its 30th anniversary, featuring a record prize money of 100 million won (total prize money of 300 million won). A total of 16 countries will participate, including representatives from Incar Financial Service, with bowlers from around the world competing.

The number of participants in the finals is 420. Representatives from 16 countries, including the Korea Professional Bowling Association (KPBA) men's and women's seeds, the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) of the United States, national representatives from the Korea Bowling Association, and men’s and women’s teams from corporate organizations will compete. From over 4,920 participants in the preliminary rounds that started on the 3rd, 232 have been selected.

A standout player in the KPBA is Yang-hun Bang (Ebonite), who is set to claim the 2024 Most Valuable Player (MVP) title. Although he has only one victory in his career, he has been frequently appearing in competitions with his rising skills. Myung-han Yoon (MK Gloria), ranked first in prize money, also remains at one career victory but continues to demonstrate consistency.

Two two-handed bowlers will compete in the PBA events. Anthony Simonson (United States) is challenging for his second title since his 2017 victory, and Kyle Troup (United States), known for his unique style and hairstyle, will also take the approach.

The TV finals of this tournament will be broadcast live nationwide on SBS Sports from 1 p.m. on the 13th. Additionally, the complete schedule, including the finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and international matches (event competitions), will be streamed live on Bowling Plus and the official KPBA YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, the association will hold the Wonju Cup International Open Tournament starting on the 15th after this tournament. This tournament is expected to see the participation of 23 foreign players who are competing in the Incar Financial Service Super Bowling International Open.
