Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) plans to make Lee Kang-in (24) available this summer transfer window. Arsenal, particularly manager Mikel Arteta, has shown interest, and there are reports that a concrete transfer fee has been outlined.

Spanish media outlet Estadio Deportivo reported on the 4th (Korean time), "PSG will pursue the transfers of multiple players, including Lee Kang-in, after this season. Lee's position has gradually diminished under coach Luis Enrique, and there is a possibility of a transfer to the Premier League."

The media noted, "PSG, having secured the Ligue 1 title early, is on the verge of reaching the UEFA Champions League final. The club's management has already begun restructuring the squad for next season. Lee Kang-in, along with Luka Hernandez and Gonçalo Ramos, is among the candidates for release."

Lee Kang-in secured relatively more playing time at the beginning of the season and showed promise. However, he gradually lost his position in the starting competition after the signings of Bradley Barcola, Desiré Doué, and recently Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Estadio Deportivo explained, "Lee Kang-in has played in 43 matches this season, recording 6 goals and 6 assists, but PSG has classified him as a potential sale target."

With a contract remaining until 2028, PSG's stance is that they will not consider offers that lack substance. PSG acquired Lee Kang-in from RCD Mallorca for €22 million (approximately 34.8 billion won) and has stated they would only negotiate if offers of at least €20 million (approximately 31.6 billion won) are presented.

Lee Kang-in has grown while gaining experience at PSG since leaving Mallorca, and due to this growth, he is still regarded as an attractive asset on the European stage.

One of the clubs showing interest in acquiring Lee Kang-in is Arsenal in the Premier League. Estadio Deportivo, quoting French outlet L'Équipe, reported that "Arsenal has shown significant interest in Lee Kang-in, and there was a special request from manager Mikel Arteta." The transfer fee demanded by PSG is also evaluated as not excessive from Arsenal's perspective.

This is not the first time Arsenal has shown interest in Lee Kang-in. Spanish journalist Mateo Moreto of Relevo reported that, in January, "Lee Kang-in is receiving interest from various clubs." Moreto is highly regarded in Spain for his journalistic accuracy, particularly concerning news about Lee Kang-in.

Moreto stated at that time, "Lee Kang-in, currently with PSG, is regarded as an important player within the team. Several clubs are keeping an eye on his transfer." He further explained that "The Athletic recently reported that Arsenal has shown significant interest in Lee Kang-in, assessing that his profile fits well with Arsenal. However, there are currently no formal discussions."

One variable is Lee Kang-in's injury. On the 4th, PSG lost 0-1 against Strasbourg in the 32nd round of Ligue 1 at Stade de la Meinau.

In this match, Lee Kang-in started but fell injured in the 42nd minute of the first half. Complaining of pain in his left shin, he was ultimately substituted for Desiré Doué. Consequently, L'Équipe reported, "Lee Kang-in, who limped off the field, is uncertain to participate in the second leg of the Champions League against Arsenal."
