A massive entertainment festival attracting visitors during the May holiday.
The Golden holiday opening May, "LIV Golf Korea with Coupang Play" (hereafter LIV Golf Korea) opens the door to a new golf festival the whole family can enjoy.
"LIV Golf Korea," taking place at Incheon Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea from May 2 to 4, is attracting spectators with the news of a comprehensive entertainment festival featuring world-class golf competitions, diverse performances, and family-friendly activities spanning all generations. Golf fans, as well as those planning family outings during the holiday, expressed their excitement, with comments like, "It feels like a dream to be able to see Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau up close," and "I was disappointed to have no travel plans during the holiday, but it seems like I could create wonderful memories with my kids."
The festival atmosphere symbolizing LIV Golf comes from a fan-friendly viewing environment. In particular, the 8th hole, called the "party hole," will feature live performances by DJs, and when a hole-in-one occurs, champagne will be popped with cheers. In the field filled with LIV Golf's vibrant energy, Korean golf fans can loudly cheer for world-class golfers like Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, and Joaquin Niemann, who recently won the Mexico City tournament, achieving his third win this year. Fans can also expect the luck of watching players' performances from closer distances and taking photos or getting autographs from LIV Golf players who are open to fan services.
"LIV Golf Korea's fan village" has been created as a complex cultural space where families can take a break from watching golf and enjoy various experiences together. Various activities, such as pinball games combined with golf putting, soccer, basketball, and mini golf, can be enjoyed by both adults and children. The "e-sports arcade" offers realistic golf games on a set that replicates the terrain and slopes of actual golf courses.
In particular, because the tournament is being held just before Children's Day, various spaces tailored to children's perspectives are waiting. The "kids' zone" is equipped with a large ball pit and offers various experiential activities such as arts and crafts and science experiments. With caricature and photo booths, it feels like a theme park where new experiences continue without a break. To encourage more family visits, children aged 6 and under born after January 1, 2019, can enjoy free admission when accompanied by one guardian. Additionally, children who enter on a first-come, first-served basis for each round can enjoy special memories, including seeing players' tee shots from a close distance and taking commemorative photos with them in a designated area set up on the 1st hole.
The MD shop reflecting LIV Golf's unique team culture is also a must-visit course. You can find various products representing 13 teams, including the Ironhead Golf Club (GC), which belongs to Jang Yoo-bin, the first player to enter the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA), and Cameron Smith's "Ripper GC," Jon Rahm's "Legion 13," and DeChambeau's "Crushers GC," which won the team championship last season. Fans can wear their support team's hats or uniforms while watching the game and can also purchase golf equipment that embodies their team's identity to use in real life.
The finale of the golf festival will be adorned with a year-end awards ceremony-level concert. The "LIV Golf Korea concert with Coupang Play," which takes place right after the final round, features a lineup reminiscent of a music festival, including G-DRAGON, IVE, Dynamic Duo, and the rookie girl group KiiiKiii. After the artist lineup was confirmed, reactions online included, "I love golf and have been a fan of G-DRAGON for 19 years; it will surely be a happy event," and "It feels like receiving a gift combining a golf tournament and a music festival at once." The emotional moment when the winner is determined will be heightened by the performances of legendary artists, marking the pinnacle of an entertainment experience blending sports and music.
Tickets for "LIV Golf Korea" can only be purchased through Coupang Play. The first and second early bird tickets have sold out, and general ticket sales have been ongoing since the 17th. Ticket sales will continue through the Coupang Play mobile app during the tournament, and even if tickets weren't reserved in advance, WOW members can purchase tickets directly at the venue through the app.
The performances of world-class golfers, along with unique experiences and diverse events, are promised by "LIV Golf Korea with Coupang Play," with real-time broadcasts and highlights of LIV Golf's pre-season events in 2025 available exclusively on Coupang Play.
