Borussia Dortmund's promising player Jamie Bynon-Gittens (21) is leaving the door open for a move to Chelsea. According to local reports in Germany, Chelsea has specifically contacted Bynon-Gittens and has begun serious recruitment efforts.

Germany's Sky Sports reported on the 26th (Korean time) that "Jamie Bynon-Gittens could part ways with Borussia Dortmund this summer. There is also the possibility of a return to the Premier League."

Bynon-Gittens is a traditional-style winger known for his quick footwork and emphasis on teamwork. His main position is left winger, but he is also capable of playing on the right side, enjoys central penetration, and excels in dribbling and using both feet. However, his shortcomings include passing errors, hasty plays due to lack of experience, and insufficient defensive skills. Despite his young age, he is regarded as a highly promising talent with solid fundamentals and great potential for growth.

Bynon-Gittens made a splash in the first half of the Bundesliga season, scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists. However, he faltered in the second half and lost his starting spot under coach Niko Kovac, which reportedly led him to consider a transfer.

According to Sky Sports, Bynon-Gittens has already begun discussions with Chelsea. Sky Sports noted that "Chelsea believes that a talented British player like Gittens should play in the Premier League. They have already started discussing specific terms."

Chelsea is reported to have offered Gittens a salary ranging from 6 million to 7 million euros (about 9.8 billion to 11.4 billion won) per year. This is nearly double the salary he currently receives at Dortmund (about 4.4 billion won).

Dortmund is also taking a realistic approach. Sky Sports reported that "Dortmund is willing to negotiate if a transfer fee in the range of 50 million to 60 million euros (about 81.7 billion to 98 billion won) is proposed."

However, the transfer is not guaranteed. The media added that "Bynon-Gittens' camp recently held talks with Lars Ricken, the Director General of Dortmund. Dortmund still highly values Bynon-Gittens' potential for development, and there is a possibility he could remain depending on the situation."

Bynon-Gittens joined Dortmund in 2020 after leaving the Manchester City youth team. He progressed through the U-19 team and established himself in the first team, recording a total of 102 professional matches, 17 goals, and 12 assists to date. His contract runs until 2028.

With Chelsea's aggressive pursuit, Dortmund's cautious stance, and Gittens' own considerations intersecting, his future this summer is expected to become one of the major interests in the transfer market.
