The Doosan Bears achieved their 8th home game sellout of the season.
Doosan announced that the game against the Lotte Giants, the 5th matchup of the season, had sold out early at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 26th. All 23,750 tickets were sold by 12:57 p.m. that day.
This marks the 8th sellout record among 13 home games this season. Doosan recorded sellouts for their previous three-game series against Samsung from March 28 to 30 and their three-game series against KIA from the 18th to 20th. Following the sellout against Lotte the day before (25th), today's game against Lotte is also sold out. They are currently on a streak of five consecutive home game sellouts.
On this day, Doosan's starting lineup includes Jeong Soo-bin (center fielder), Cave (right fielder), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Kim Jae-hwan (designated hitter), Kang Seung-ho (third baseman), Oh Myung-jin (second baseman), Kim Min-seok (left fielder), Kim Ki-yeon (catcher), and Park Jun-young (shortstop).
Yang Eui-ji was substituted during the first inning the previous day due to tightness in his right side. He received a hospital examination that day.
Manager Lee Seung-yup noted in a pre-game interview with reporters, "Eui-ji went to the hospital for an examination, but the results haven't come out yet. He is not in today's lineup. It will also be difficult for him to make an appearance as a pinch hitter later. Even if the results are fine, it might be a bit tough for him today."
The results of Yang Eui-ji's examination have come out. The Doosan club stated, "There are no abnormalities in Eui-ji's examination results. However, he is experiencing some discomfort, so he is scheduled to rest for today's game as a precaution."
