On the 25th, the NC Dinos of the Korea Professional Baseball Organization, the city of Changwon, and the Changwon Facility Management Corporation held the fourth full meeting of the 'joint task force' regarding the structural collapse at Changwon NC Park.
This meeting was attended by the CEO of the NC Dinos, the director of the Cultural Tourism Sports Bureau of Changwon, and the acting chairperson of the Changwon Facility Management Corporation, among other officials.
During the meeting, they discussed overall safety measures for Changwon NC Park and plans for its prompt normalization, focusing on the supplementary items from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's detailed safety inspection submitted to the Changwon Facility Management Corporation on the 25th.
In particular, it was decided to remove all 227 louvers from the exterior of Changwon NC Park as part of the overall safety measures.
The removal of the louvers was decided based on the opinions of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, through an agreement among representatives from the three agencies. The removal work will take place from the 26th to the 29th, and the schedule may be flexibly adjusted depending on the work pace.
The joint task force plans to decide on the reopening of Changwon NC Park after taking measures regarding the emergency safety inspection supplements requested by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and reporting back to the Ministry.
