The owner of the Lotte Giants, Shin Dong-bin, who is also the chairman of the Lotte Group, was again a victory fairy on this day.
The Lotte Giants won 8-2 against the Doosan Bears in the fourth game of the season held at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 25th as part of the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) league. With this victory, they took the upper hand in the three-game series and secured two consecutive wins, recording 15 wins, 1 tie, and 12 losses for the season.
Lotte's starting foreign pitcher Tucker Davidson secured his third win of the season (undefeated) with 6 innings, 5 hits allowed, 3 walks, 5 strikeouts, and 2 earned runs while throwing 93 pitches. The bullpen followed suit with Kim Sang-soo (⅓ inning, no runs), Jung Hyun-soo (1 inning, no runs), Kim Kang-hyun (⅔ inning, no runs), and Park Si-young (1 inning, no runs), providing solid support. The score difference quickly widened, allowing the team to save their main relievers, but even the backup players showcased strong pitching.
In the batting lineup, Hwang Seong-bin, Ko Seung-min, and Na Seung-yeob each had multi-hit games. Na Seung-yeob, responsible for 3 RBIs including a decisive 2-run home run, showcased the prowess of the cleanup hitter.
Shin Dong-bin, the owner of the Lotte Giants, made a surprise visit to the stadium to cheer on the players and front office, who are currently performing well. The Lotte team under manager Kim Tae-hyung displayed a flawless performance in both offense and defense in front of the chairman, and Shin Dong-bin’s game attendance record now stands at .714 (5 wins, 2 losses).
Manager Kim Tae-hyung stated, “Starting pitcher Davidson pitched well for 6 innings with 2 earned runs, and the following bullpen did a great job. In crucial moments, we could seize the momentum with Na Seung-yeob's 2-run home run,” adding, “I want to express my gratitude to the owner for coming to the ballpark and showing encouragement and support despite the busy schedule.”
The players also expressed their gratitude for the owner’s visit to the ballpark. Na Seung-yeob noted, “It seems the team has more vitality because the chairman shows sincere affection and interest,” while Davidson stated, “I saw the owner when I came off the mound. Thank you for creating a great atmosphere with your support.”
Chairman Shin Dong-bin left a message, “I hope the players and front office will show true fighting spirit to meet the support of Giants fans who passionately cheer for each game,” before leaving the stadium.
Lotte will aim for their third consecutive win against Na Gyun-an on the 26th. Doosan has Jack Log scheduled.
