Marcus Rashford (28, Manchester United)'s future has become uncertain. Analysis suggests that a return to his original team is unlikely.

The BBC reported on the 23rd (Korean time) that "Rashford is seen as having a low chance of returning to Manchester United under coach Amorim. He will not rush to make a decision about his future."

Rashford has recorded 4 goals and 6 assists in 17 matches since being loaned to Aston Villa in February, gradually recovering his form. Recently, he also made an impressive performance in the European match against Paris Saint-Germain, and he has been recalled to the England national team. His value has notably recovered compared to the early days of his transfer to Villa.

The likelihood of him returning to Old Trafford is slim. Rashford has been completely excluded from coach Amorim's first team plans since December of last year. The only match he sat on the bench for was against Newcastle on December 30, and he has not even made the squad list since then.

Coach Amorim noted shortly after Rashford's loan that "I wanted him to train and understand the game in the way I think, but he did not accept it," drawing a line.

Manchester United still has Rashford under contract until 2028, but a sale or additional loan this summer appears inevitable. Especially from coach Amorim's perspective, which requires team restructuring and financial adjustments, sorting out Rashford's high salary situation could be a priority.

The BBC reported that "Rashford does not prefer to move to a London team and maintains that he wants to join a club that has qualified for the UEFA Champions League. Recently, the possibility of a swap deal with Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace has also been raised, but he is said to have no interest in a swap deal."

It was further reported that "According to officials, Rashford has not yet started specific discussions regarding his future and is expected to make a serious assessment and decision after mid-June. He is currently focused on finishing the season at Villa, including the FA Cup semifinals and the competition for the Premier League top spots."

Unai Emery also kept his comments on Rashford's future brief. According to the BBC, he said, "Rashford is doing very well. He is adapting quickly and showing a dedicated attitude," expressing satisfaction, but avoided mentioning the possibility of a transfer.

Currently, Manchester United is in urgent need of team restructuring along with poor league performance. Rashford's future choices could carry more significance than a simple transfer. As a youth product and one of Manchester United's icons, what decision he makes is drawing the attention of football fans.
