IBK Industrial Bank Altos Volleyball Team succeeded in internal free agent recruitment.
IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 23rd that it has signed free agent contracts with key prospects Yook Seo-young (23 years old, 180 cm) and Kim Chae-yeon (25 years old, 184 cm), marking the start of a vigorous journey toward the next season.
Entering his 6th year, Yook Seo-young has established himself as a key player for the team, aiming for full participation in all matches of the 2024-2025 season and significantly boosting scoring power with his exceptional offensive skills. Since joining in 2019, he has earned the nickname "My Daughter Seo-young" with his spirited play, becoming a central figure in IBK Industrial Bank's attacking triangle and leading the atmosphere on the court.
Yook Seo-young said, "As this is my first free agent eligibility, I wanted to prove my value with a team that has the potential to win, and there was no hesitation in that choice," expressing ambitious aspirations, "I am grateful to the team for giving me the opportunity to stay with IBK Industrial Bank, the team I joined, and I will repay fans with results in the form of victory, as I have been recognized for my value."
Additionally, middle blocker Kim Chae-yeon will again wear the IBK Industrial Bank uniform through re-signing. Having won the Rookie of the Year in the 2017-2018 season, Kim Chae-yeon has effectively fulfilled the "joker" role by changing the flow of the game with her tall stature and quick judgment, contributing significantly during important moments for the team.
Kim Chae-yeon stated, "IBK Industrial Bank is the team that believed in me, and I wanted to show more here," adding, "In the 2025-2026 season, I will prove that I am an indispensable player for the team and fans by showing a stronger version of myself."
An IBK Industrial Bank official noted, "With the success of internal free agent contracts, a leap towards victory has begun," and confidently highlighted that "With the addition of Asian quota player Alisa Kinkela, we will show a distinctly different growth of the Altos Volleyball Team compared to last season."
