The Cincinnati Reds achieved a historic victory.

On the 21st (Korean time), Cincinnati won 24-2 against the Baltimore Orioles in a game held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Cincinnati lineup racked up 25 hits and 3 home runs that day. Austin WINS (season 2), Eli De La Cruz (season 5), and Noelvi Marte (season 1) each hit home runs. Marte also had 5 hits out of 7 at-bats, 1 home run, 7 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Austin Hayes also performed well with 4 hits out of 6 at-bats, 1 RBI, and 4 runs scored, while Matt McLain, Gavin Lux, and Spencer Steer each had multi-hit games.

With an 11-11 record this season and a win percentage of .500, Cincinnati currently ranks 3rd in the National League Central Division. The team is not weak in batting, as rising star Eli De La Cruz is performing well, ranking 4th in team runs scored (117) and 8th in OPS (.726) among key metrics.

However, the team struggled with batting early in the season. From the 8th inning against Texas on the 1st to the 7th inning against Milwaukee on the 5th, they went an astonishing 35 innings without scoring. Nevertheless, they marked a historic victory in the game. Major League Baseball's official media outlet, MLB.com, noted, "The Reds swung their bats so fiercely that it’s hard to believe they went 35 consecutive innings without scoring earlier this month," highlighting Cincinnati's hitting that day.

This is only the fourth time in the team's history that Cincinnati has scored 24 or more runs since 1901. The last game with 24 runs was on May 20, 1999, against Colorado. The franchise's record is 26 runs, set against the Boston Braves (now the Atlanta Braves) on June 5, 1911. The 25 hits are also the highest since the 28 hits recorded in the 26-run game.

Cincinnati, whose batting exploded, achieved 38 total times on base, including 11 walks. This is a franchise record for modern baseball. Additionally, Cincinnati recorded 78 times on base, a new franchise record for the most times on base in a three-game series since 1900. The struggling Baltimore mound had to rely on position players Jorge Mateo and Gary Sánchez to pitch in the last two innings.

Cincinnati overcame early season struggles and the batting lineup is on the rise. De La Cruz expressed confidence, saying, "We are getting hotter and will continue to keep that hot hitting going."
