Park Sung-hyun has made the final decision to participate in the Aramco Korea Championship. She will meet domestic fans at the tournament held at New Korea Country Club in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from May 9.
The 'Aramco Korea Championship Presented by PIF', in which Park Sung-hyun will participate, will take place over four days from May 9 to 11.
Through this tournament, Park Sung-hyun will make her first appearance in a Golf Saudi event. There is growing anticipation in the golf community for a match that will be showcased in front of domestic fans after a long time. This tournament is also considered a noteworthy event in the 2025 season of the Ladies European Tour (LET).
Park Sung-hyun noted, "It is always a great joy and honor to play in Korea, and it is even more meaningful to participate in this event hosted by Golf Saudi. I believe the Aramco Korea Championship is a truly significant tournament in Korean golf. As it will feature both team and individual competitions, I’m looking forward to participating directly."
Park Sung-hyun, who has garnered attention for her strong play and bold game management, has recorded a total of seven victories on the LPGA Tour. In particular, she made her mark on global golf fans by winning the 2017 U.S. Women's Open and the 2018 KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
World No. 12 Kim Hyo-joo will also participate in this tournament. Kim Hyo-joo won last year's Aramco Korea Championship by three strokes, shining in the event.
The Aramco Korea Championship will feature a unique format over three days. In the first two days, 26 four-player teams will compete for a team prize pool of $500,000, and on the final day, the winner of the individual competition will take home the largest share of the total prize of $1.5 million. This prize pool is considered one of the largest in the LET season.
