Tottenham is all in on finding a replacement for Son Heung-min (33, Tottenham).

Tottenham executed a one-year extension contract with Son Heung-min until 2026. This summer, Tottenham must decide whether to renew their contract with Son Heung-min or part ways with him.

Recently, Son Heung-min has struggled with poor performance and injuries, which have diminished his standing. Son Heung-min missed the second leg of the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals against Frankfurt on the 18th due to injury. Tottenham, who scored with a decisive goal from Dominic Solanke, won 1-0 and advanced to the semifinals.

Son Heung-min could not participate in the trip to Germany due to focusing on injury rehabilitation. Instead, Tottenham fielded Matheus Tel, Dominic Solanke, and Brennan Johnson as a front three. In the 43rd minute of the first half, Dominic Solanke scored the decisive penalty kick, achieving victory in enemy territory.

Son Heung-min, who injured his foot, missed two consecutive matches after the Wolverhampton game. Tottenham will face Nottingham Forest on the 22nd. For now, Son Heung-min's absence will be prolonged. Son Heung-min is focusing on rehabilitation with the goal of returning for the UEFA Europa League semifinals against Bode on May 2.

Tottenham has found a successor for Son Heung-min. Sky Sports reported, “Tottenham is interested in signing Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo. Bournemouth is under contract with him until 2029, so there is no rush. Bournemouth has set Semenyo's price at £70 million (approximately 132.6 billion won).”

The 185cm Semenyo played for the Ghana national team in the Qatar World Cup. At 25 years old, he is young and also fast, which has drawn attention from several teams.

The issue is that aside from Tottenham, several teams including Manchester United, Newcastle, Nottingham, Manchester City, and Chelsea have entered the fray for Semenyo. The chances of Tottenham winning a power game against Manchester United are low. If so, Tottenham's plan to part ways with Son Heung-min and sign Semenyo would also fall apart.
