Victor Osimhen (25, Napoli) is reported to have agreed to personal terms with Manchester United. The transfer negotiations are said to be entering the final stages.

Football Italia noted on the 20th (Korea Standard Time) that "According to multiple Turkish media reports, Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, has agreed to personal terms with Manchester United," stating that "multiple Turkish reporters, including Ali Seliklar, Aygun Ojipek, and Ahmet Konanči, reported on Osimhen's transfer to Manchester United."

Manchester United has identified strengthening its attacking lineup as a major task this summer. The underwhelming performance of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee has led to a decrease in effectiveness at the front line, resulting in instability in performance throughout the season. Currently, Manchester United is in 14th place in the Premier League and was eliminated early in cup competitions.

Osimhen's addition is a much-needed reinforcement for the club. Manchester United has been considering various candidates such as Benjamin Šeško, Viktor Osimhen, Hugo Ekitike, and Liam Delap, but there has been no significant progress in signings. Amidst this trend, Osimhen choosing to move to Manchester United is rapidly changing the situation.

Ali Seliklar of the Turkish sports channel VOLE noted, "Osimhen has agreed to move to Manchester United this summer. However, negotiations between Manchester United and Napoli have not yet been finalized."

Aygun Ojipek reported, "Osimhen is expected to sign a five-year contract with Manchester United, with a transfer fee of €60 million (97 billion won) and an annual salary of £12.8 million (24 billion won)." Ahmet Konanči also reported, "Osimhen's transfer to Manchester United is a certainty."

Osimhen, originally from Nigeria, became a key player for Napoli after moving from Lille, finishing as the top scorer in the Serie A during the 2022-2023 season with 26 goals, leading Napoli to its first league title in 33 years. However, he is currently on loan to Galatasaray due to transfer issues.

This season, Osimhen has also showcased strong scoring ability, recording 29 goals and 5 assists in 34 official matches, ranking first in the league top scorer list with 21 goals. After this season, his loan contract will expire, and the possibility of returning to Napoli is considered virtually nonexistent.

However, there are variables remaining. Napoli is requesting a transfer fee of €80 million (130 billion won), while Manchester United plans to start negotiations around €60 million. Football Italia analyzed that "Napoli has lowered the release clause for Osimhen but may reject Manchester United's initial offer."
