The professional baseball LG Twins succeeded in selling out again on a weekday. This marks the 11th sellout out of 12 home games this season.

LG recorded a sellout in the second matchup of the season against the Samsung Lions in the 2025 KBO League held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 16th.

The LG club noted during the bottom of the first inning of the game, "The LG-Samsung game is sold out. The total audience is 23,750 with the sellout time at 6:44 p.m. The LG Twins have achieved their eleventh home game sellout of the 2025 season."

As a result, LG has recorded sellouts in a row for 8 games since the opening game of the season, and continues to achieve sellouts for another 3 consecutive games. A total of 284,188 fans attended the 12 home games.

LG failed to sell out only in the home game against Doosan on the 12th. They recorded an audience of 22,938, falling short of the full capacity crowd (23,750) by 812. The failure to sell out occurred as around 1,300 canceled tickets piled up the previous night.

LG recorded sellouts in a row for 8 games, including the opening two-game series against the Lotte Giants from March 22 to 23, the three-game midweek series against Hanwha Eagles from the 25th to 27th, and home games against the KIA Tigers on April 4 and 6 (the game against KIA on April 5 was canceled due to rain), and the match against the Doosan Bears on April 11. They have continued their sellout streak against the Doosan Bears on the 13th and the Samsung Lions on the 15th and 16th.

LG set a new record for the most attendance in a single KBO season last year, recording 1,397,499 fans (73 games), surpassing the previous record of 1,380,18 set by the Lotte Giants in 2009.

Meanwhile, LG held a gratitude prize event on the 16th against Samsung to celebrate achieving 8 consecutive sellouts since the start of the 2025 season. During this game, LG screened a thank-you video for fans on the electronic scoreboard in the top of the 5th inning, and a prize drawing will take place for spectators in the first base inner and outer sections during the cleaning time at the end of the 5th inning.

Through the drawing, one "LG Stand By Me 2" and seven authentic uniforms with player signatures will be awarded to fans. Additionally, on that day, a 20% discount event on club merchandise for LG Twins members will also be conducted.
