Bum-soo Kim, the trainer, and Jeong-ui Soo, the Head of Team, have been selected as the recipients of the March Contribution Award from Gangwon FC.
Gangwon FC held the March Contribution Award ceremony during a home match against Gwangju FC in the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 Round 8 at Chuncheon Songam Sports Town on the 13th. Established last year, this monthly award recognizes a 'silent hero' who has contributed to the development of the team from both the players and the front office. Winners receive a trophy and gift certificates.
The recipient in the institutional sector for March is Bum-soo Kim, the trainer. Trainer Kim closely manages each player's physical condition based on expertise in rehabilitation and conditioning. He works hard to ensure that players maintain optimal condition through various care methods, including taping before and after games, muscle relaxation, and injury management, taking responsibility for injury prevention and recovery for the team.
Trainer Kim noted, "Not only I but all the trainers are supporting the players with a team spirit," and said, "I will do my best going forward so that the players can demonstrate good condition and performance without injuries."
"The Contribution Award of the Month" is not only a recognition of the shining players on the field but also shines a light on front office staff who dedicate themselves to the team in unseen ways. The front office recipient for March is Jeong-ui Soo, the Head of Team from the marketing team. Under Jeong's leadership, the marketing team introduces new merchandise for every home game, enhancing fan satisfaction. Jeong is also working on sponsorship acquisition, contributing to the team's financial stability.
Jeong said, "Both the players and front office are mindful of the love the fans showed us last year. For that reason, we are doing our best in our respective roles to present a good image this year, and I ask for your continued support and love going forward."
