Korean Air, aiming to rebuild its dynasty, has signed rookie outside hitter Kim Sun-ho (26).
Korean Air Jumpers officially announced on the 16th, "We have acquired outside hitter Kim Sun-ho from Hyundai Capital through a free-agent contract."
The contract terms include a duration of three years, an annual salary of 150 million won, and an option of 50 million won.
Kim Sun-ho, while a junior at Hanyang University, joined Hyundai Capital Skywalkers as the first overall pick in the rookie draft for the 2020-2021 season through the early draft.
Kim Sun-ho was recognized for his excellent receiving and defensive skills and won the Rookie of the Year award in his debut season, subsequently fulfilling his assigned role within the team.
Korean Air expressed its hopes, stating, "We have acquired Kim Sun-ho, a young outsider hitter resource with outstanding receiving and defensive skills, to bolster our stable lineup and accelerate the generational change of the team. We reaffirm our determination to challenge for the top once again in the upcoming 2025-2026 season."
Now a Korean Air man, Kim Sun-ho vowed, "I am excited and thrilled to finally wear a new uniform in front of the fans after joining the pros, but with the mindset of debuting anew on a new team, I will do my utmost to become a player essential for the team's victory."
