The professional baseball LG Twins achieved the fourth team no-hit no-run in history.

LG won 3-0 against Samsung in a game held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 15th. LG's four pitchers allowed no hits that day.

Starter Hernandez recorded no hits, one walk, nine strikeouts, and no earned runs over 6 innings (79 pitches) before being replaced. After the 6th inning, he was replaced for player safety.

In the 7th inning, Kim Jin-seong struck out three batters in a perfect inning, and in the 8th inning, Park Myung-keun also pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout. Then, in the 9th inning, with LG ahead 3-0, closer Jang Hyun-sik took the mound. After one out, he walked Lee Jae-hyun and Kim Sung-yoon consecutively, creating some tension, but he completed the historic record by getting Ryu Ji-hyuk to ground into a double play.

On October 6, 2014, LG achieved the KBO's first 'team no-hit no-run' against NC at Jamsil. They set this historic record again after 11 years. This is the fourth record in history.

LG scored the first run in the bottom of the first inning. Lead-off Hong Chang-ki reached base with an infield hit to second base. Kim Hyun-soo created a no-out opportunity with a hit to right field, putting runners on first and second. Austin struck out, and cleanup hitter Moon Bo-kyung hit a single to right field. The ball dropped just in front of the right fielder, and runner Hong Chang-ki, watching to see if the ball would be caught, started late. However, the right fielder's throw went to second base instead of home, allowing Hong Chang-ki to round third and score comfortably.

Holding a one-run lead, LG's Austin led off the bottom of the 8th inning with a double that hit the right field fence against Samsung's second pitcher Bae Chan-seung. Moon Bo-kyung walked. A sacrifice bunt by Oh Ji-hwan set up one out with runners on second and third. Moon Sung-joo hit a two-run double to left-center that rolled to the fence, extending the lead to 3-0.

After the game, manager Yeom Kyung-yup said, "I want to commend the pitchers, from starter Hernandez to Kim Jin-seong, Park Myung-keun, and Jang Hyun-sik, for perfectly preserving the no-hitter. I especially want to praise the data analysis team and coach Kim Kwang-sam for helping Hernandez get back on track with some targeted advice."

He also noted, "Moon Bo-kyung led the offense with three hits, and his RBI helped bring the game's momentum to our side. In a situation where additional runs were crucial, Moon Sung-joo's two-run hit created a more comfortable scenario for the closer to step up. It was a tight game with a one-run margin until the 8th inning, and I want to commend our players for their focus."

Manager Yeom said, "Even though it was a weekday game today, many fans came and created a sellout crowd. Thanks to their passionate support, we were able to achieve victory. Thank you." LG recorded its 10th sellout (23,750 fans) in 11 home games this season.
