The professional baseball LG Twins ended an 8-game sellout streak before achieving another 2 consecutive sellouts.

LG recorded a sellout on the 15th during the first matchup of the 2025 KBO league against the Samsung Lions at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium.

LG stated, "The LG vs. Samsung game is sold out. The total attendance is 23,750 with sellout time at 7:02 p.m. This is the 10th sellout for the LG Twins in the 2025 season."

As a result, LG has succeeded in selling out 10 of its 11 home games this season. This marks 2 consecutive sellouts.

LG continued an 8-game consecutive sellout streak until it failed to sell out a game against Doosan on the 12th. Attendance was recorded at 22,938, falling short by 812 from the maximum capacity of 23,750. The failure to sell out was due to about 1,300 canceled tickets pouring in the night before.

LG recorded 8 consecutive sellouts from the opening series on March 22-23 against the Lotte Giants, followed by a midweek series on the 25th-27th against Hanwha Eagles, home games on April 4 and 6 against the Kia Tigers (the game on April 5 against Kia was canceled due to rain), and up to the game against the Doosan Bears on April 11. Although the consecutive sellout streak ended during the Doosan game on the 12th, LG succeeded in selling out the game against Doosan on the 13th.

Last year, LG set a new record for the most attendance in a single season, recording 1,397,499 fans over 73 games, surpassing the previous KBO single-season attendance record of 1,380,018 set by the Lotte Giants in 2009.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the achievement of 8 consecutive sellouts since the start of the 2025 season, LG organized a fan appreciation giveaway event. LG announced, "To give back to our fans' support, we will hold a special giveaway event during the home game against the Samsung Lions on the 16th."

During the game against Samsung on the 16th, LG will show a fan appreciation video on the scoreboard in the 5th inning, followed by a giveaway drawing for fans in the first base seating area and outfield during the subsequent 5th inning cleaning time.

Through the drawing, one "LG Stand By Me 2" and seven authentic uniforms signed by players will be awarded to fans. Additionally, on that day, there will be a 20% discount event on merchandise for LG Twins members to express gratitude to the fans.
