Liverpool and Real Madrid are reported to be pursuing a swap deal.

The British outlet 'GiveMeSport' reported on the 15th (Korea time), citing Spain's 'Hichajes', that Liverpool may attempt to acquire Real Madrid's Arda Güler (20), one of the world's top young talents, during this summer's transfer market.

At the same time, this outlet noted that "Liverpool could utilize core player Alexis Mac Allister (27), a national representative from Argentina, as a trade card in return," emphasizing that the possibility of a swap deal has opened up.

Liverpool is on the verge of winning the Premier League this season. If they win their next two matches, they can secure the title on their own. If they win one match and second-place Arsenal loses, the title could be confirmed even sooner, marking their first in five years.

Liverpool has effectively secured the championship trophy. However, the club's executives are already making preparations to maintain their strength for next season. In this process, Liverpool may offer Mac Allister, whom Real Madrid desires, and demand a substantial transfer fee.

Real Madrid wants the proven Mac Allister to strengthen their midfield. Mac Allister was a key player in Argentina's victory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He has been a starting central midfielder in 28 out of 31 matches this season at Liverpool.

Ultimately, Real Madrid, which wants Mac Allister, could let Güler go to reduce their expenditure. Mac Allister, who transferred from Brighton in 2023, is currently under contract with Liverpool until 2028, indicating a high transfer cost.

Moreover, Liverpool, having acquired Mac Allister from a long-term perspective, is unlikely to easily allow his transfer. This may mean that Real Madrid will require a significant transfer fee.

Turkish national team member Güler is a forward with a bright future. He can be used as both a winger and an attacking midfielder. Güler, who transferred to Real Madrid from Fenerbahçe in 2023, is under contract with Real until 2029.

However, Güler has not been granted much playing time under coach Carlo Ancelotti this season. Out of 21 league matches, he has only started in 8. He has appeared in 7 Champions League matches but only started in 1.

This presents a good opportunity for Güler. While he has shown loyalty to Real Madrid, it's reported that he is considering a transfer to resolve his recent playing time issues. If Ancelotti continues to manage next season, it's likely that the situation will not differ significantly from this year.
