The Korea Professional Baseball Retired Players Association, known as the Ilgoo Club, has signed a medical agreement.
The Ilgoo Club noted on the 14th, “We have entered into a medical agreement with BGN Bright Eye Hospital. To prevent and treat our members' eye issues, we are looking for an ophthalmology clinic equipped with examination equipment, surgical equipment, medical personnel, and hospital systems capable of safely performing vision correction procedures, and we visited BGN Bright Eye Hospital, which was established in 2000 and has accumulated extensive experience and expertise, confirming that they can provide customized surgeries and care considering the living environment and daily life patterns of baseball players.”
BGN Bright Eye Hospital is the largest ophthalmology specialty hospital in the country, equipped with systematic programs and advanced examination systems, operating locations in Seoul’s Jamsil Lotte Tower and Busan. In particular, BGN Bright Eye Hospital, as a first-generation ophthalmic center for vision correction procedures, offers a variety of treatments including SMILE LASIK and SMILE PRO, making it suitable for baseball players who are sensitive about their eye health, and it also provides customized presbyopia surgeries for individuals aged 40 to 60, which is expected to be of great help to association members.
Chairman Kim Kwang-soo said, “Humans obtain about 80% of information visually,” and noted, “As people age, various eye diseases can occur, making it difficult to engage in daily activities such as driving, golfing, and reading, as well as hobbies.” He added, “Now our members can receive help in preventing and treating eye diseases.”
