''Munich legend'' Lothar Matthäus has targeted Min-jae Kim (29, Munich) again.

Bayern Munich drew 2-2 with Dortmund in the 29th round of the 2024-2025 season Bundesliga at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on the 13th. Munich maintained the lead with 69 points, six points ahead of second-place Bayer Leverkusen (63 points). Dortmund is in eighth place in the league with 42 points.

Min-jae Kim, who started as a center-back alongside Eric Dier, struggled. Kim caused the first goal for Munich just three minutes into the second half, showing below-expectations performance. Eventually, Kim was substituted for Raphael Guerreiro after just 54 minutes.

It is rare for Min-jae Kim not to play the full match and to be substituted. In the early stages of the match, Kim performed well by blocking opposing attacks. In the 39th minute of the first half, Kim made a mistake by losing possession of the ball. Fortunately, he cleared the crisis with a tackle.

An incident occurred three minutes into the second half. Julian Ryerson delivered a cross. Although Min-jae Kim was in a better position than opposing striker Maximilian Wöber, he failed to clear the ball. Ultimately, Wöber headed the ball into the goal, leading to Munich conceding a goal.

Due to the mistake, Min-jae Kim was substituted in the 9th minute of the second half. It was a punitive substitution. Guerreiro, who replaced Kim, scored the equalizer in the 20th minute of the second half. Four minutes later, Leroy Sané scored the winning goal, erasing Kim's mistake.

Munich allowed another equalizer to Anton in the 30th minute of the second half. No decisive goal was scored, and it ended in a draw.

During the goal conceded by Munich, Lothar Matthäus, a commentator for Sky Sports and a Munich legend, targeted Min-jae Kim. He said, ''Kim did not move toward the ball, instead, he moved away from it. It was an incomprehensible play.''

The assessment within Munich was also skeptical. Max Eberl, Director General of Munich, noted, ''The first goal was the type that should never happen. I understand it was due to Kim Min-jae's mistake.''

Bild stated, ''In the first half, the center-back combo of Kim Min-jae and Dier performed well. In the 3rd minute of the second half, Kim Min-jae's failure to contest the ball led to the goal conceded,'' placing the blame on Kim Min-jae.

Bild rated Kim Min-jae a score of 5. A score closer to 6 indicates a poor performance.
