Hail and strong winds hit Jamsil Stadium, plunging players and spectators into chaos.

The third matchup of the season between the LG Twins and Doosan Bears in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League, held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the afternoon of the 13th at 2 p.m., was momentarily suspended due to inclement weather in the top of the first inning.

After LG's starting pitcher Son Joo-young allowed a double to lead-off hitter Jeong Soo-bin in the top of the first inning, hail, reminiscent of a winter snowstorm, began pouring down just as he was about to face the second batter Park Kye-beom. With strong winds blowing, the umpire crew immediately ordered the players to withdraw, and the crowd packed into the stadium rushed towards the exit or the upper deck with a roof to escape the hail. The wind was so strong that it caused the tarps covering the mound and batter's box to flap.

Fortunately, the game, which was suspended at 2:03 p.m., resumed after just 7 minutes. As if nothing had happened, the hail stopped, and sunlight slightly appeared, allowing the umpire crew and teams to return to the field. The spectators welcomed the resumption of the game with cheers.
