Coach Lee Ho-jun of the NC Dinos made a bold modification to the lineup amid a two-game losing streak.

The NC Dinos, led by Coach Lee, significantly altered their lineup ahead of the game against the Lotte Giants on the 13th at Busan Sajik Stadium.

NC lost both of the first two games in the three-game series against Lotte. In the game on the 11th, they lost 5-7 after a close match, and on the previous day (12th), they suffered a 0-2 loss due to a rain delay in the 8th inning. They urgently need to end the losing streak.

Coach Lee is looking for a breakthrough with changes in the batting lineup. He selected Kwon Hee-dong (center fielder), Kim Joo-won (shortstop), Son Ah-seop (right fielder), Park Han-gyeol (left fielder), Oh Young-soo (designated hitter), Davidson (first baseman), Kim Hwi-jip (third baseman), Kim Hyung-jun (catcher), and Seo Ho-cheol (catcher) for the starting lineup.

Davidson, last year's home run king who has recently been in a slump, is starting as the sixth batter. Since his debut last year, he has most often played as the fourth batter and had not stepped outside the cleanup trio of the 3rd to 5th spots until now. This is his first time batting sixth. In the last five games, Davidson has struggled with 3 hits in 17 at-bats (1 home run), 2 runs batted in, and 9 strikeouts.

Instead, promising future power hitters that NC boasts, Park Han-gyeol will bat fourth, and Oh Young-soo will bat fifth. This is Park Han-gyeol's first time starting as the fourth batter since his debut. Oh Young-soo also swung a hot bat, with 4 hits in 6 at-bats in the two games against Lotte, earning a promotion to the cleanup trio.

Coach Lee said, "Yesterday, there were opportunities that came from Davidson, but he couldn't capitalize on them. Today, I tried changing the batting order. (Park) Han-gyeol is confident against left-handed pitchers, and Oh Young-soo is in good form, so I placed them higher in the lineup. I shifted Davidson, who is in a slump, down a bit."

Captain Park Min-woo was excluded from the starting lineup for the second consecutive game. It is not easy for him to hold a bat due to left-hand pain, and his participation seems difficult. Coach Lee expressed, "I hope the players going out now show some ambition. They are stepping into an empty spot, and this is a chance. I hope they take advantage of the opportunity when it arises."
