Daegu FC manager Park Chang-hyun resigned voluntarily, taking responsibility for the team's poor performance.

Daegu FC announced on the 13th through its official channel, "Manager Park Chang-hyun held a meeting with the club after the match against Ulsan and decided to resign by mutual agreement."

Manager Park decided to step down due to the need for a change in momentum following recent six consecutive losses, despite promoting team rebuilding and transformation since his appointment as the 14th manager in April 2024.

Manager Park's last match was a home game against Ulsan HD in the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 Round 8 held at the Daegu iM Bank Park on the afternoon of the same day. Daegu lost 0-1 after conceding a decisive goal to Ulsan's Kang Sang-woo in the 67th minute, thus falling into a streak of six consecutive league losses, remaining in 11th place with 7 points (2 wins, 1 draw, 6 losses).

During the middle of the first half, opportunities were created with Edgar's shot following a cross from a politician and Ramos' long-range shot, but they did not connect to a goal. In the second half, Ramos and Jung Woo-jae attempted active shots, but were blocked by Ulsan's goalkeeper Cho Hyun-woo, ultimately failing to score.

Daegu was in a serious situation with a six-game losing streak and severe decline in performance this season. Consequently, after discussions with the club immediately after the match, manager Park expressed his intention to resign, and the club agreed to and accepted his decision.

The club noted, "We deeply appreciate the passion and dedication of manager Park Chang-hyun," adding, "We plan to reorganize the team under new leadership, and until a new manager is appointed, head coach Seo Dong-won will serve as the interim manager to lead the team."

Daegu FC plans to expedite the selection of a successor in order to create an opportunity for a turnaround starting from the upcoming round. The club also expressed its commitment to repay fans with better performance and results for the remainder of the season.
