Seongnam FC's surge is significant. After finishing at the bottom last season, Seongnam has embarked on an unbeaten streak in their first seven matches, rising to the top of the standings.

On the 12th, Seongnam defeated Gyeongnam FC 1-0 in an away match in the Hana Bank K League 2 2025 Round 7 held at the Changwon Football Center.

With this victory, Seongnam jumped to first place with 15 points (4 wins, 3 draws), surpassing second-place Jeonnam Dragons (14 points). Meanwhile, Gyeongnam, on a losing streak, remains in eighth place with 8 points (2 wins, 2 draws, 3 losses).
