Players are clearly improving this season.

FC Seoul and Daejeon Hana Citizen recorded a 2-2 draw in their encounter in the 8th round of the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 12th.

With this draw, Seoul ranked 4th with 3 wins, 5 draws, and 1 loss, earning 13 points. Daejeon maintained the top spot with 17 points.

After the match, Seoul's head coach Kim Gi-dong noted, "Looking back at the game, I'm very disappointed with the first half. The injuries made it quite chaotic. I encouraged the players that we need to finish the first half as it was." He added, "We conceded goals due to our mistakes. We made some changes in the second half, and the players gained confidence. However, I truly regret that we couldn't turn the game around. Many fans supported the players, but we couldn't deliver results. I am truly sorry. I will work harder for a more consistent game."

Regarding Ki Sung-yong and Jeong Seung-won, who were substituted in the 30th minute of the first half, he explained, "Ki Sung-yong has a hamstring injury, and Jeong Seung-won may undergo surgery. There is a possibility that he will not be able to join for a while."

Kim Gi-dong said, "With Jeong Seung-won out, the burden has increased. We faced issues in the midfield." He jokingly added, "I am considering whether to bring Choi Jun back up."

He also explained, "Like in the last match against Daegu and today, we are showing a changing appearance. Conceding 2 goals to equalize and fighting to overturn the game is certainly different from last year. Last year, the situation at the beginning of the game was crucial. If the mood was not good at the start, we conceded a lot. However, this season is clearly different. The players seem to be gaining strength."
