Angie Postecoglou, Tottenham manager (59), publicly stated that the club has a government leaker. An investigation is underway to resolve this issue.

Postecoglou attended a pre-match press conference on the 12th (Korea time) ahead of the 2024-2025 season English Premier League match against Wolverhampton, saying, "Someone is leaking internal Tottenham discussions." He noted, "It's not just injury information but various details that are being leaked. The club has been investigating this for quite some time."

He continued, "The internal government has been leaking since last year. Even though we keep the scope of Gong Yoo very narrow, I just don't understand who would do such a thing and why. It's even more incomprehensible if they are an insider. Such actions do not help us at all."

He emphasized, "In situations where opposing teams are trying to analyze us, it's best if information does not leak out. However, even as time passes, the leaks continue. This time, we will definitely root it out."

Are the arrows of suspicion directed towards agents or players?

Postecoglou strongly denied this. He said, "It's not the agents. Absolutely not. The leaked information is very specific. The language used is not in the manner of the agents. It's not the players either."

He raised his voice, saying, "In the football world, it is said that information disclosure is normal, but I am very cautious about medical records and the scope of information provided. Sometimes, the players themselves do not wish to disclose information. Such leaks are unacceptable for both the club and the individual."

Postecoglou stated that if a leaker is found, actions will be taken internally rather than publicly.

He conveyed, "I will solve this in the right way internally. It's important to maintain the professionalism of the club and the flow of information properly. If there are individuals who leak sensitive information in any organization, they must be addressed."

Finally, Postecoglou pointed out, "Such events are always present in the football world. However, this case is different in that it's persistent. Normally, once an issue is resolved the first time, everyone understands, but this continues to repeat." He added, "To succeed, small differences can have critical impacts. We must do our best in areas we can control."

Meanwhile, Tottenham has recorded 16 losses in 31 Premier League matches this season, marking their worst performance since 1977. As a result, the internal trust in Postecoglou is significantly shaken. There are also suggestions of a possible dismissal in the event of failing to win the UEFA Europa League (UEL).

Tottenham held a 1-1 draw against Frankfurt in the first leg of the UEL quarterfinals at home on the 11th. They are in a situation where they must win in the away second leg on the 18th.
