The NC Dinos have escaped a two-game losing streak.
On the 10th, NC defeated KT 7-0 in the '2025 Shinhan Bank SOL Bank KBO League' game held at Suwon KT Wiz Park, breaking their two-game losing streak.
The NC lineup recorded 9 hits and 3 home runs. Park Han-gyeol hit his first home run of the season, Kim Joo-won hit his second home run of the season, and Davidson hit his fourth home run of the season. Davidson had 2 hits, 1 home run, and 2 RBIs in 4 at-bats. Kim Joo-won also had an impressive performance with 2 hits, 1 home run, and 2 RBIs in 4 at-bats. Son Ah-seop had a multi-hit game.
Starting pitcher Riley Thompson recorded a victory with 7 innings, allowing only 1 hit, 1 walk, and 1 hit batter, while striking out 14 without allowing any runs. This marks his second win of the season. He achieved a tie record for most strikeouts by a foreign pitcher in a single game (previously held by Danny Bautista in 2013, Rick VandenHurk in 2014, Henry Sosa in 2018, and Wilmer Font in 2022). In the top of the 2nd inning, Davidson led off with a double. Kwon Hee-dong and Kim Hwi-jip followed with consecutive groundouts to bring in the first run. In the 4th inning, Kim Joo-won hit a solo home run to extend the lead by one more run. In the 5th inning with two outs, Park Han-gyeol hit a solo home run, making the score 3-0.
In the 7th inning with one out, NC's Kwon Hee-dong drew a walk. Following that, a passed ball by the catcher on Kim Hwi-jip's walk led to a situation with runners on first and third base with one out. Kim Hyeong-jun hit a sacrifice fly that brought in one run. In the 8th inning with two outs, Kim Joo-won hit a double, and Son Ah-seop added an RBI single, increasing the score. Davidson hit a two-run home run that sealed the victory.
NC manager Lee Ho-jun praised Riley, noting, "Starting pitcher Riley recorded 14 strikeouts and demonstrated a powerful performance. The pitching design prepared in advance with the pitching coach and battery coach worked out well. I expect that he learned a lot about how to manage games against Korean hitters through today's pitching."
