Lee Jung-hoo (27) of the San Francisco Giants has become the representative model for the team's new City Connect uniform.

Major League Baseball's official media outlet, MLB.com, reported on the 9th that the Giants attempted a new atmosphere with this year's City Connect uniform. On Tuesday, they unveiled a new uniform in a 'remix' style inspired by San Francisco's rich musical history.

San Francisco unveiled the new City Connect uniform that day. The new uniform, created with a music theme, primarily used orange and purple, with orange representing San Francisco's symbolic color and purple evoking the lights of the Fillmore Auditorium and the posters of the Haight-Ashbury area, while also paying homage to the purple used by the Giants when they were in New York from 1913 to 1917.

San Francisco manager Bob Melvin noted, "I like the new uniform. It's very colorful and the contrasting color combination is better than previous uniforms. There were fun uniforms in San Diego too, but I like this one as well. It has the vibe of the Grateful Dead, and it seems like everyone likes it."

The standout star of San Francisco, Lee Jung-hoo, was naturally selected as one of the representative models for the new uniform. With a career batting average of .304 over 884 games in the KBO League (3,476 at-bats, 1,181 hits), 65 home runs, 515 RBIs, 581 runs scored, 69 stolen bases, and an OPS of .898, Lee Jung-hoo, regarded as the best hitter in Korea, signed a 6-year, $113 million (approximately 1.663 billion won) contract with San Francisco last season, successfully entering Major League Baseball.

Despite high expectations for his debut in the big leagues, Lee Jung-hoo's season was cut short due to a dislocated left shoulder after colliding with the outfield fence during a defensive play. In his debut season, he recorded a batting average of .262 over 37 games (145 at-bats, 38 hits), with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs, 15 runs scored, 2 stolen bases, and an OPS of .641, which left him with regrets.

However, Lee Jung-hoo still receives enthusiastic support from San Francisco fans. San Francisco introduced a special seating area to cheer on Lee Jung-hoo in line with his return, and at the game on the 8th, passionate fans appeared wearing T-shirts that read 'Hoo Lee Gans' and dragon ball wigs, causing a stir. Lee Jung-hoo is currently recording a batting average of .333 over 11 games (45 at-bats, 15 hits), with 4 RBIs, 11 runs scored, 3 stolen bases, and an OPS of .908.

San Francisco is actively introducing the new City Connect uniform through the team's official social media accounts. There are many photos of Lee Jung-hoo modeling the uniform. With Lee Jung-hoo being loved by fans, there is great anticipation and interest in whether he can perform well this season.
