Wake up your sleeping performance!

Global sports brand "Under Armour" will hold the performance test platform "UA NEXT COMBINE," based on the six core physical elements of sports, to help growth through optimal performance, from May 23 to 25 at the Pi Factory in Gwangjin-gu.

"UA NEXT COMBINE" is planned to measure, compete, and awaken potential based on the six elements essential to all sports under the slogan "BE NEXT: UA NEXT COMBINE" to aid in individual and team performance growth. Furthermore, this "UA NEXT COMBINE" incorporates the concept of a hexagonal human, applying it to six measurement items, hexagonal graphs of measurement results, team formations of six members, and the design concept of the competition venue.

Starting in 2021 with 1,200 participants across four countries—Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia—Under Armour's "UA COMBINE" and the global program "UA NEXT," which supports elite and amateur athletes with the highest potential for better growth through various means, will be held in a new format for the first time in Korea.

"UA NEXT COMBINE" will measure and compete based on the six core physical elements essential in all sports: ▲ Speed ▲ Power ▲ Agility ▲ Endurance ▲ Cognitive Reaction ▲ Jumping Ability. A total of 1,500 participants can take part, with 780 in individual events and 120 teams (720 participants) for the team race. The top six men, six women, and six teams will receive a total of 50 million won in prizes and benefits.

In the individual events, 1,500 participants will measure performance through nine tests based on the six elements: Speed, Power, Agility, Endurance, Cognitive Reaction, and Jumping Ability (20M sprint run, 20M sled push, hand grip, nod board, 5-10-5 run, VIB test, reaction intelligence, and sergeant jump). In particular, the exercise ability evaluation system used in various realms from professional teams to individual sports and Olympic sports worldwide will more professionally measure participants' athletic abilities and physical fitness elements, providing player cards with measurement results in hexagonal graphs.

In the team events, 120 teams consisting of four men and two women, a total of six members, will compete in tests based on the six elements: endurance, jumping ability, power, agility, cognitive reaction, and speed, which are composed of six events: six-person relay run, burpee box jump, pull-up, reaction intelligence, warm to shoulder lift, and sprint. Each event will involve either two participants or the entire team, with the team completing the six actions in order the fastest being declared the winner. In the preliminaries, each team will have two chances, and the top 54 teams will advance to the finals, where the final six teams will compete.

Anyone aged 16 and over can participate in the "UA NEXT COMBINE," which will open for registration on a first-come, first-served basis beginning April 24 on the official Under Armour website. Participants can register for individual and team events. The registration fee is 50,000 won for the individual event and 100,000 won (per person) for the team event, and team applicants can also participate in the individual event. Everyone registered for the individual event of "UA NEXT COMBINE" will receive Under Armour products (upper/lower clothing) worth 150,000 won and other gifts, while team participants will receive Under Armour products (upper/lower clothing, shoes, socks) worth 350,000 won and other gifts.
