The professional baseball LG Twins home game was once again sold out. This sets a new record for the most consecutive sellouts with 7 games since the opening.
The LG Twins recorded a sellout in their second season matchup against the KIA Tigers in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 6th.
According to an LG official, all 23,750 seats at Jamsil Stadium were sold out by 12:15 p.m., about two hours before the game started (2 p.m.). This marks the LG Twins' seventh consecutive sellout at home following the opening, with sellouts occurring in the opening series against the Lotte Giants on March 22-23, the weekday series against Hanwha Eagles from the 25th to 27th, and the home game against KIA on April 4th. Regardless of weekends or weekdays, every time LG plays at Jamsil, the 23,750 seats are completely sold out.
LG previously set a new record for the most consecutive sellouts in the opening three games on the 25th of last month with a sellout against Hanwha, marking the first time since the KBO computerized its attendance records in 2001. The latest sellout has now extended this record to 7 consecutive games. A total of 166,250 fans visited Jamsil during the 7 games, showcasing LG's remarkable ticket power.
Currently on a two-game winning streak, LG leads the season with 9 wins and 1 loss, while the defending champion KIA is 9th with 4 wins and 7 losses. LG's Yoni Chirinos and KIA's Adam Oller are set to face each other as starting pitchers.
