If Tottenham Hotspur fails to win the UEFA Europa League (UEL), the dismissal of head coach Ange Postecoglou, 60, has been seriously raised.

According to the British media outlet Football365 on the 6th (Korean time), transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano noted, "Postecoglou's position is at risk," adding, "If Postecoglou fails to win the Europa League, he is likely to be replaced after the season ends. Tottenham is already looking for candidates for the next head coach and has also checked Iraola's buyout clause."

Tottenham's situation is dire. They have suffered 16 losses in 30 Premier League matches, marking the first time this has happened since 1977. While there are still eight matches left in the league, the chances of a ranking rebound are slim. Currently, Tottenham remains in 16th place, the lowest ranking since the Premier League was established in 1992.

To qualify for next season's European competitions, Tottenham must finish at least 8th in the league. However, the gap with the mid-table is significant. Realistically, the only chance to participate in European competitions is by winning the Europa League. As the situation worsens, it has been reported that the board, including Chairman Daniel Levy, has decided to take action.

Tottenham will play the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Frankfurt on the 11th and the second leg on the 18th.

Iraola, born in 1982, has been linked with Tottenham several times. He has received praise for his strong pressing and counter-attacking tactics while leading Bournemouth. According to the British Telegraph, Bournemouth also hopes to renew his contract, but Iraola is reported to have an interest in Tottenham.

Bournemouth is currently in 9th place in the Premier League this season.

Romano stated, "Iraola has been outstanding at Bournemouth. He is also receiving very positive evaluations internally at Tottenham, and he is one of the candidates for the next head coach."

However, to acquire Iraola, Tottenham must pay a compensation fee of approximately £10 million (18.8 billion won).

Another candidate mentioned is Marco Silva, coach of Fulham. He recorded one win and one draw against Tottenham this season, making a good impression on the board. Romano evaluated, "Silva has achieved impressive results at Fulham for years, pulling out players' capabilities well without significant funding."

Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi, coach of Inter Milan, has also been mentioned as a candidate, but he is currently focused solely on Inter Milan. Romano clarified, "Inzaghi has not had any discussions with Tottenham."
