The LG Twins' starting lineup for the June 6 game against the KIA Tigers has been revealed.
The professional baseball team LG Twins is preparing for their second match of the season against the KIA Tigers in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League, which will be held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on June 6.
LG has arranged the starting lineup against KIA's starting pitcher Adam Oller with Hong Chang-ki (right fielder), Shin Min-jae (second baseman), Austin Dean (first baseman), Moon Bo-kyung (designated hitter), Oh Ji-hwan (shortstop), Kim Hyun-soo (left fielder), Park Dong-won (catcher), Koo Bon-hyuk (third baseman), and Park Hae-min (center fielder).
The day before, LG had placed Moon Bo-kyung at third base and Kim Hyun-soo as the designated hitter against KIA, and gave left field to Ham Chang-geon, the standout player from the Futures League's cycling hit. However, the game was canceled due to rain, so Ham Chang-geon's debut starting appearance was canceled, and he will start the game from the bench today.
LG's manager Yim Kyung-yup noted, "Moon Bo-kyung's shoulder is a bit injured, so he was taken out of the designated hitter spot, and Koo Bon-hyuk will play third base, while Kim Hyun-soo will be in left field. Kim Hyun-soo's batting condition is not bad."
LG aims to challenge for a winning series in the weekend three-game set with ace Yoni Chirinos. Chirinos has a season record of 1 win, no losses, with an earned run average of 3.00 over 2 games, and despite a quality start of 6 innings with 2 earned runs in his most recent appearance on March 28 against the Changwon NC Dinos, he did not secure the victory.
This is KIA's first encounter. There were no matchups in the exhibition games either.
LG, on a two-game winning streak, is in first place with a season record of 9 wins and 1 loss, while the defending champion KIA, who lost the game on the 4th, is in ninth place with a record of 4 wins and 7 losses.
