The battle for the top six in professional basketball is incredibly exciting.
On the 6th, Wonju DB defeated Busan KCC 84-76 in the '2024-25 KCC Professional Basketball Round 6' held at Wonju Indoor Stadium. DB revived their hopes of making it to the top six.
7th place DB (23 wins, 30 losses) will face 6th place Jeonggwanjang (24 wins, 29 losses) in the final match in Wonju on the 8th. If DB defeats Jeonggwanjang, they will have an equal record of 24 wins and 30 losses, but DB will advance to the playoffs due to their better head-to-head record of 4 wins and 2 losses.
Leading 45-35 at halftime, DB maintained the lead until the end. With Omari Spellman absent, Chinanu Onuaku played for 36 minutes and 7 seconds, contributing 20 points.
Lee Sun Albano shone the most with 22 points and 11 assists. Lee Kwan-hee also added 15 points.
KCC, even without Heo Woong, saw Lee Seung-hyun play only 10 minutes, scoring just 4 points. Cady Laren scored 19 points, but it was not enough.
Lee Kwan-hee noted, "It seems Spellman won't be able to play in the final match either. I will do my best to motivate Onuaku to play hard."
