Coupang Play will showcase the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship (hereinafter 'F1') Japan Grand Prix starting from the 4th (Friday) with the season's first on-site reporting and 'full package' broadcast.

Coupang Play will provide all moments of the Japan Grand Prix without omission, including Practice 1 and 2 starting on the 4th, Practice 3 at 11:15 a.m. on the 5th, Qualifying at 2:20 p.m., and the race at 1:20 p.m. on the 6th. Forty minutes before Qualifying and the race, Korea's top F1 broadcast team, analyst Yoon Jae-soo and caster Ahn Hyung-jin, will conduct a preview show delivering team analysis and viewing points.

In particular, the Japan Grand Prix is attracting attention as the first grand prix on-site reporting during Coupang Play's 2025 F1 broadcast season. Announcer Jin Se-min, who is returning to the Suzuka Circuit for the second consecutive year after 2024, will uncover stories from various places on-site and provide vivid coverage of driver interviews and preparations before the race.

Starting from Japan, Coupang Play will visit a total of five grand prix races during the 2025 season, charging up with on-site experiences without pause. In July, the British Grand Prix, held at Silverstone Circuit, known as 'the home of F1' and the focus of attention due to Lewis Hamilton's first season after transferring to Ferrari, will be showcased with the first live on-site broadcast. In October, the broadcast team will also cover the Singapore Grand Prix, which features beautiful night views of Marina Bay, for three consecutive years. The Spain Grand Prix in May, ahead of the farewell to the Barcelona Circuit, and the season finale in December, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, will be showcased with on-site reporting.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Japan Grand Prix, F1's only Asian driver, Yuki Tsunoda, has been called up to Red Bull, drawing attention to his performance at home. McLaren displays a strong balance at the beginning of the season with Lando Norris's victory at the Australian Grand Prix and Oscar Piastri's win at the Chinese Grand Prix, while defending champion Max Verstappen aims for a fourth consecutive victory.

Analyst Yoon Jae-soo noted, "The Suzuka Circuit is one of the most popular F1 circuits, featuring many challenging corners that keep spectators on the edge of their seats," adding, "The race is intriguing not only for whether McLaren, recognized as the strongest team this season, can achieve three consecutive victories, but also for Tsunoda, who races in a strong team aiming for a win or podium finish at his home grand prix."

Coupang Play has been providing F1 broadcasts since 2022 and has drawn a strong response from F1 fans with the first-ever live on-site coverage of grand prix races in the country. All live broadcasts, highlights, and replays of the F1 grand prix for the 2025 season will be available exclusively on Coupang Play.
