Road FC female fighter Park Seo-young (Road FC Gunsan) expressed her feelings after participating in Japan's largest organization, Rizin FF.
Although she did not achieve victory, she said, "It was a good experience."
Park Seo-young shared on her SNS, "The Rizin stage, which was a dream stage, was different. I had a good experience. I experienced the Rizin stage for a short period. I believe this experience is very important. I will gain more experience and rise to the highest level."
On the 30th, Park Seo-young participated in Rizin 50, held at the Anabuki Arena Kagawa in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. He was overpowered by Machi Fukuda (Japan) on the ground and lost by TKO due to pounding at 4 minutes and 4 seconds into the second round.
Park Seo-young won three matches and achieved victory in the Infinite League held by Shooto last year. She was recognized for her growth in both striking and ground skills.
In last year's final Road FC event in Wonju, Road FC 071, she was urgently called in and encountered Shin Yoo-jin, succumbing to a rear-naked choke at 4 minutes and 44 seconds into the second round, but it was not a victory for Shin Yoo-jin. It was declared a no contest due to Shin Yoo-jin failing the weigh-in the day before.
After winning three consecutive matches in the Shooto Infinity League, Park Seo-young sought to achieve four consecutive wins. It was not an easy match. This opponent, Machi, was known for having good ground techniques.
Park Seo-young acknowledged her defeat, saying, "I will continue to accept all offers, regardless of weight class or opponent. This player, Machi, was also strong, as expected of an emerging athlete."
She also stated that "While I am still struggling in the strawweight division, I am showing good performances in the atomweight division. Since there are fewer female athletes, I believe I should be able to compete in both atomweight and strawweight. I will train harder to showcase good performances in the strawweight as well."
Additionally, Park Seo-young conveyed her determination, saying, "My shoulder has not improved since the last match, but this is an injury that many athletes have. I do not want to make excuses. I will manage my shoulder well so that I can prepare to compete fiercely in my next match."
